General
Are your pilots licensed?
Yes. All EMPYREAN pilots hold FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificates and are current on recurrent training.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. We carry $1 million in general liability insurance and can provide certificates of insurance (COI) upon request.
What areas do you serve?
Jacksonville, FL (HQ), all of Florida, Southeast Georgia, South Alabama, and Southern Mississippi. No travel fees within 50 miles of Jacksonville.
How do I book a flight?

Services & Deliverables
What's included in a real estate shoot?
Our Starter package includes a 60-second aerial tour and 10 high-res stills. Pro package adds twilight shots, 25 stills, social cutdowns, and raw files.
Can you do night flights?
Twilight shoots (30 minutes before/after sunset) are available. Full night operations require FAA waiver, available for commercial projects.
Do you offer 3D models?
Yes. 3D orthomosaic models are available as a $400 add-on. Ideal for construction, surveying, and insurance documentation.
What file formats do you deliver?
Video: MP4 (H.264). Stills: JPG (web) + DNG raw (Pro package). Social: MP4 optimized for IG/TikTok/YouTube.
Pricing & Payment
How much does a drone shoot cost?
Packages start at $499 (Starter) and $999 (Pro). Enterprise and custom projects quoted individually. See empyrean.llc/pricing.
Do you charge travel fees?
No travel fees within 50 miles of Jacksonville. Beyond that: $1 per mile, one-way.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit card, ACH, or invoice (NET-15 for established clients). Payment due before file delivery.
Can I get a refund?
Deposits are non-refundable. Reschedules due to weather or pilot availability are free. Client cancellations within 24 hours forfeit deposit.
Weather & Rescheduling
What happens if weather is bad?
We monitor conditions 24 hours before flight. If unsafe, we reschedule at no charge. Safety always comes first.
How much notice to reschedule?
Client reschedules: 48 hours notice to avoid deposit forfeiture. Weather reschedules: no penalty, rescheduled ASAP.
Do you fly in rain?
No. Rain, high winds (>25mph), or low visibility grounds all flights. Equipment safety and regulatory compliance require VFR conditions.
Legal & Compliance
Do I need permission to fly over my property?
You (or your client) must own or have permission to access the property. We handle all FAA airspace authorizations.
Can you fly in controlled airspace?
Yes. We file LAANC authorizations for controlled airspace (Class B/C/D/E). Most approvals are instant; some require advance coordination.
Who owns the footage?
You receive unlimited commercial usage rights for the specific property/project. EMPYREAN retains copyright and may use footage in portfolio with your permission.
